COMPOSITION AND MATERIALS
SFS522 is produced from steel slag by crushing, screening and processing to remove metals resulting in a 50x14mm steel slag aggregate.
Steel furnace slag is a non-metallic product consisting essentially of calcium silicates with fused oxides of iron and aluminium.
The material is produced simultaneously with steel in a basic oxygen furnace and is a predominantly crystalline, solid rock-like product.
